Fortius Consulting is a boutique management consulting firm based in Brisbane, Australia, supporting organisations across the public, private, social and sport sectors to define and achieve their strategies.
Fortius is led by Marieke D’Cruz, an Olympic athlete and management consultant, who spent over 5 years with McKinsey and Company before working in the private sector as an internal consultant.
Marieke brings years of experience in supporting organisations to define their strategy; align their organisation towards the strategy, including culture, structures and processes; and implement their strategy. She is especially passionate about supporting organisations to create high performing and sustainable environments for their people: through leadership development, cultural change programs, capability building and building effective operating models.
Marieke brings a curious mindset and will partner with you to create solutions which meet the unique needs of your organisation.

Marieke’s rigorous problem solving approach will ensure that the root cause of the challenge is thoroughly understood before solutions are designed to meet the unique needs of your organisation. She will then ensure that the right conditions are in place to implement the solution effectively. This will include aligning key stakeholders towards the solution, ensuring employee capabilities are sufficient for successful implementation, leaders’ communication and role modelling is aligned towards the future state vision, and the culture, systems and processes are designed to support implementation of the solution.

About Marieke
Marieke is an experienced, ex-McKinsey management consultant who supports clients across the public, private, social and sport sectors to solve some of their most challenging problems.
She is passionate about high performance. As a world champion and world-record holder in swimming, Marieke achieved the highest echelons in sport; in her professional consulting career, she supports organisations to get the best out of their people, systems and processes so that strategic objectives are achieved.
Marieke has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Sydney.
